At XLG, people are at the heart of every decision. This Belgian group, active in sectors ranging from domestic services to construction, industrial cleaning, and green space maintenance, employs nearly 4,000 workers. Facing complex HR challenges such as talent retention and creating a supportive work environment, XLG turned to eBloom to revolutionize its HR strategy. Laure-Anne, who has been supporting the group’s management for seven years, shares this transformative journey.

We’ve also prepared a highlight reel for a quick overview of the key takeaways from our discussion. Watch the short version below:
“Before eBloom, we didn’t have similar tools,” explains Laure-Anne. “Our structure was previously more local and fragmented, making it difficult to implement a global strategy.” Since consolidating its entities under the XLG name three and a half years ago, the group has initiated a transformation to align its HR goals with this new unified vision.
In this context, eBloom emerged as a strategic tool. “We were searching for solutions to better understand and manage our people. When we discovered eBloom, we immediately saw its potential to address our challenges,” says Laure-Anne.
The implementation of eBloom at XLG was strategic and phased. The project was first tested over two months with managers to evaluate its relevance and ease of use. “Then, we trained our 350 employees on how to use the tool. Internal training sessions emphasized transparency, notably showing what administrators of the tool could or couldn’t see. This focus on anonymity was crucial for building trust,” Laure-Anne highlights.
The tool was warmly received by employees. “At launch, many saw it as a listening ear, an opportunity to express themselves freely thanks to the guaranteed anonymity. Today, eBloom is fully integrated into our onboarding culture, particularly during quarterly Welcome Days,” adds Laure-Anne.
XLG primarily uses two key features of eBloom:
The results are shared publicly on internal screens, reinforcing transparency and engagement.
One of the tool’s strengths lies in its ability to transform feedback into actionable changes. Laure-Anne shares a significant example: “We identified recurring issues in the organization of work within one of our business units. Using Click & Bloom and a test phase evaluated through eBloom, we adapted the organization. This will also allow us to measure long-term impact by revisiting the question in a few months.”
What does Laure-Anne appreciate most about eBloom? Its simplicity and playful design. “The app is intuitive. In less than 30 seconds, I can answer a survey and check my dashboard. The design is both professional and fun, with little smiley faces and a gamified aspect that adds a touch of lightness,” she notes.
For XLG, eBloom represents a strong commitment to prioritizing people by actively listening to employees and adapting practices accordingly. By making teams active contributors to strategy, XLG is building a supportive and agile work environment aligned with today’s challenges.
